Your Preschools Duhovka
The symbol of the 4th children’s sales festival Mini is a mysterious white geometric object. Could it be a fallen star from a fairytale sky, or a magical Christmas decoration? Let yourself be overwhelmed by curiosity and come to find out what’s hidden inside.
Awaiting you are original clothing collections, quality toys, books, furniture and accessories for both small and tall from Czech designers.
On Sunday between 11:30 – 13:15, be sure to visit our DUHOVKA CAFÉ for a coffee and something sweet. While you can consult your parental questions with our teachers, children can try out Montessori tools under our guidance. It’s a great opportunity to find out more about our pre-school and ask anything that interests you about Montessori.

Dear Parents and Friends of Our Preschool,
With all our hearts, we would like to thank you for taking part in another year’s popular charity to
support the Sue Ryder yard sale held on 21. 10. 2017.
The proceeds were record-breaking! The entire amount of CZK 122,140 will be donated to the Sue
Ryder Nursing Home. Moreover, the unsold items will serve others as they were partly donated to
the Sue Ryder charity shops and partly to the Order of Charles Borromeo sisters who distribute the
items to socially disadvantaged families and to children in foster care.
The yard sale atmosphere was amazing thanks to you as well as volunteers who prepared and
organized the event.
Another yard sale will be held in spring, at the end of March 2018.
Thank you for all your help!

The festival weekend is upon us. Come to enjoy great shows, creative workshops and make an original souvenir of the event at our Duhovka photocorner.
The 8th year of the festival Struny dětem is coming to offer a weekend packed with experience-based learning of art forms to art-loving families. The festival mission is to bring children closer to the world of art in a form they could identify with, accept as a natural part of their life and desire to return to it, whether as artists or as audience. The festival offers an opportunity to meet the big personalities of the Czech art scene in person, to gain new experiences and unexpected contexts.

We invite you to the third annual Open House Festival Prague 2017
Our third annual Open House Prague Festival will open up more than 40 buildings and structures of architectural interest, thus inviting the general public to visit buildings in Prague that are not usually accessible over the weekend of 13 and 14 May. The public will have a unique opportunity to visit and explore the interiors of houses, around which they walk every day.
Duhovka enters into the project with its elementary school for the second year and with its high school for the first time this year.
Duhovka High School, Saturday, 13 May
The building itself, in which our high school is located, was built in the 1920s. The aim of its reconstruction was to express its original character but also to meet educational needs. The school should be a place where seriousness and elegance of the architecture of the First Republic meet with open and dynamic present-day Montessori education.
Architects: Tomáš Bém, Vratislav Lhota a Mečislav Petrů
Duhovka Elementary, Saturday, 13 May
The reconstruction of the building aimed to create an environment that corresponds with children's natural developmental needs. Each classroom has its own colour scheme based on the concept of our school. The purpose of the reconstruction was to create a spatially varied environment with a pleasant atmosphere supporting creative activities where children feel happy.
