Food is served fresh in accordance with the principles of healthy eating and hygienic standards for preschool-aged children.
Morning snacks are available in classes from 8.30am to 10.30pm and are served as a buffet. Through Montessori principles the children learn to set a table before a meal, put food on the plate, spread butter, cut fruit, pour a drink, wash the dishes and clean up after the meal. Most snacks include whole grain breads, spreads, vegetables, fruit, yogurt or cereal. We pay attention to the daily drinking regime. Water, fruit tea, milk/cocoa or bio apple juice mixed with water is available for children all day.
Lunch consists of soup, main course and salad. Vegetarian OR meat meal is available every day.
Afternoon snacks are available in classes from 2:30pm to 3pm and are also served as a buffet. From 4pm to 5pm another snack is avalaible for children staying at preschool till later afternoon hours depending on current afternoon program.
We enhance children to eat but we do not force them. We learn children to put only as much food on their plate as they can eat and so not to waste food.
